Corpay, a FLEETCOR® (NYSE: FLT) brand and global leader in business payments, has renewed its partnership between Corpay’s Cross-Border business and Yamaha’s Official WorldSBK Team into 2024 and 2025 – coinciding with the exciting addition of six-time FIM Superbike World Champion Jonathan Rea to the squad.
Signing the most successful rider in WorldSBK history bolsters further Yamaha’s commitment to success at the highest level of production motorcycle racing – a commitment that is mirrored in Corpay’s industry-leading FX solutions which are utilised directly by the team and many of its partners.
The team will proudly continue to carry Corpay’s identity on its Yamaha R1 WorldSBK official race machines, riders’ racing leathers, official team uniform and supporting materials for the next two seasons on the world stage, in addition to providing Corpay’s customers and partners with VIP guest experiences.
Over the winter upcoming test schedule which includes two days at Circuito de Jerez this week, both Rea and Locatelli sport a special “winter livery” featuring a special grey, white and carbon fibre which hints at some of Yamaha’s historical colour schemes – as debuted by Rea in his maiden test. The full 2024 team livery, including Corpay’s identity, will be revealed at the end of January.
Paul Denning – Team Principal, Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK:
“Having worked together since 2020, when Corpay became our exclusive provider of Foreign Exchange and Cross Border Payment solutions, we have experienced superb commercial support for our global racing operations via improved foreign exchange costs and mitigated currency movement risks. As one of the world’s largest non-bank providers of FX services globally, we are also very proud to promote Corpay’s brand and values with Yamaha and the WorldSBK marketing platform. This renewed agreement for the next two years will allow us to further communicate the advantages provided to businesses by Corpay.”
Brad Loder – Vice-President, Marketing, Corpay Cross-Border Solutions:
“With our strong focus on growing the Corpay brand, along with our corporate payments and foreign exchange business globally, we are excited by the opportunity to renew our partnership with Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK for the next two seasons of racing.
